Chaudhary Usman Ali – CEO/Executive Director

Ch. Usman Ali has over twenty-three years of experience in a broad range of areas related to public and private sector development. He is a result-oriented expert in competitiveness assessment and promotion, training, international/local finance and trade, real estate and investments, private and public sectorial development, business planning and linkages, total quality management, resource mobilization, project design, governance, environmental issues, results measurement, monitoring and evaluation, market development for the poor, value chain development, food security, agriculture and rural development. He has led multidisciplinary technical assistance teams of experts in over 50 major projects in Asia, Africa, M.E. and in the Americas with various developmental organizations. He is a leading expert in international trade and finance and has advised various governments and organizations. He has experience in working with the U.S. Senate, USAID, USTDA, USDA, The World Bank, DFID, CIDA, GTZ, AusAid, Austrade, CCOP, TPP, Japan Agriculture (JA) and various governmental organizations. He has also worked with major private organizations such as the Walt Disney, De Beers, Swatch Group, Swarovski, Mont Blanc, Lladro, LVMH, Versace, Verizon, AT&T, Nextel, Sprint, Domino’s Pizza and Nestle’. Chaudhary Usman served as Vice President on the Florida Economic Development Council, an advisory body to the past governor of Florida, Jeb Bush, advising him about international business, trade, linkages and investments in the state of Florida. Mr. Ali is a past Vice President of the International Affairs Council of the city of Tallahassee, an economic and cultural advisory body to the Mayor. He is also a Paul Harris Fellow with Rotary International.

Chaudhary Usman is an active farmer along with a livestock farm, guava and a citrus grove. He cultivates various off season high value vegetables for the upscale domestic and export markets. He has experience in establishing large farms in E. Africa and the South America. Usman is president of the Vehari Chamber of Agriculture and member of various national/international agricultural associations. He was nominated twice for Sitara-e-Imtiaz (highest civilian award of Pakistan) for his work in agriculture and rural development. He serves on the board of trustees of the World Life Organization and president of Nilibar Agriculture Association, a farmer’s organization of more than five thousand members.
